How it's made

Handmade takes time, and that is the point

Nothing here is punched out by a machine in bulk. Each piece moves through the same eight steps, by hand, in our workshop.

  1. 01

    Customer consultation

    We talk through your idea, wording, size and where the piece will go.

  2. 02

    Design planning

    We lay out the design, check proportions and confirm the final wording with you.

  3. 03

    Material selection

    Wood and board are chosen to suit the design, the finish and where it will hang.

  4. 04

    Cutting and shaping

    Letters, shapes and layers are cut by hand, one piece at a time.

  5. 05

    Sanding and detailing

    Every edge and curve is sanded smooth — the slowest part of the work.

  6. 06

    Painting, staining, finishing

    Stains, paints and sealers are applied and left to cure properly.

  7. 07

    Quality inspection

    We check the fit, finish and mounting before anything leaves the workshop.

  8. 08

    Packaging and delivery

    The piece is wrapped for transport, then arranged for pickup or delivery.
